HARTSELLE, AL — Our Republican Legacy (ORL), the national network of principled conservatives dedicated to renewing the Republican Party’s commitment to character, civility, and constitutional governance, today announced the appointment of Julian Boykin as Alabama State Chair.
Boykin brings a distinguished record of leadership in federal service, business innovation, and civic engagement to his new role. As State Chair, he will lead ORL’s Alabama chapter in building a coalition of voters and leaders focused on restoring integrity and common purpose to the Republican Party.
“Julian embodies the spirit of service and integrity that defines Our Republican Legacy,” said Senator John Danforth, founder of ORL. “He understands that leadership is about stewardship — strengthening our communities, protecting our institutions, and ensuring that conservatism remains rooted in principle and decency. We’re honored to have him represent Alabama.”
A strategic community leader, Boykin has extensive expertise in procurement, program management, and civic innovation. Raised in Madison, Mississippi, he earned a B.S. in Business Management from Jackson State University, an M.S. in Acquisition and Contract Management, and an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology. He holds both PMP (Project Management Professional) and CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) certifications and is currently completing his Doctorate in Business Administration at Trident University International.
In federal service, Boykin served as a Senior Contract Specialist and Program Manager, overseeing multi-billion-dollar acquisition portfolios. He later founded Acquisition Consulting Experts, LLC, guiding public and private sector clients through complex procurement regulations and information security requirements. As co-founder and COO of the proposed Heritage Cooperative Federal Credit Union, Boykin champions financial literacy and community-focused banking solutions.
His extensive civic leadership includes serving as Chair of the Morgan County Regional Airport Board and previously holding positions such as Chair for Young Republicans of Southern Maryland, Vice President of the Frederick Douglass Maryland Chapter, and Treasurer for the Maryland Black Republican Council. Boykin also serves on numerous boards, including AUSA Redstone-Huntsville, Hartselle for Tomorrow Foundation, Nunc Pro Tunc, and 100 Black Men of Greater Huntsville, where he directed political action and grants programs.
Boykin is also the author of The Road Less Traveled: Being a Black Republican While Living in America and Future State, and speaks nationally on civic leadership, procurement, and community development.
Julian Boykin resides in Hartselle, Alabama, with his wife and son.
