JUPITER, FL — Our Republican Legacy (ORL) today announced that Jake Walsh has been appointed Florida State Chair, where he will help lead the organization’s efforts in one of the nation’s most important states while also advancing ORL’s outreach to younger voters, including Generation Z.
Walsh succeeds former Florida State Chair Greg Wilson, who will continue to serve as Senior Advisor for ORL, where he will lead policy development and support strategic efforts across the organization’s growing network of more than 30 state chapters.
Walsh most recently served on the campaign staff for a gubernatorial campaign. Previously, he worked as a Policy Assistant at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute, where he supported policy outreach and signature events, including the Reagan National Defense Forum.
His prior experience also includes roles with Advancing American Freedom, the Bipartisan Policy Center, the Office of U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, and the University of Florida administration, where he assisted with research, public affairs, scheduling, and operations.
“In 2025, Our Republican Legacy grew from zero to 25 state chairs because Americans across the country are hungry for a principled conservative movement rooted in character, integrity, and constitutional governance,” said ORL Founder Senator John Danforth. “Jake Walsh reflects exactly the kind of next-generation leadership our movement needs. He brings energy, discipline, and a deep commitment to public service, and he will be instrumental in growing our work in Florida and strengthening our outreach to younger Americans.”
In his new role, Walsh will help advance ORL’s mission, built around five core principles:
Unity
The Constitution
Fiscal Responsibility
Free Enterprise
Peace through Strength
