SPARTA, N.J. — Our Republican Legacy (ORL), a national organization of Republicans committed to defending democratic institutions, the rule of law, and traditional conservative values, today announced that Patricia R. Carley, Esq. has been appointed New Jersey State Chair.
Carley is an experienced attorney, educator, and community leader with more than three decades of legal and public service experience. She is currently a partner at Jasieniecki & Carley, LLC, where she focuses on insurance defense, workers’ compensation, personal injury, and liability matters. Before joining the firm in 2024, Carley operated her own general practice law firm for nearly twenty years, handling a broad range of litigation matters, including employment law, municipal work, disability claims, and business advising.
“Trish Carley brings a lifetime of commitment to the rule of law, civic engagement, and principled Republican leadership,” said ORL Founder U.S. Senator John Danforth. “Her experience in the law, her record of service to her community, and her dedication to strengthening our democratic institutions make her the ideal person to lead Our Republican Legacy’s efforts in New Jersey.”
Carley has also spent significant time in legal education. She has served as an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University School of Law, teaching legal writing and research, and taught business law at Centenary College for both undergraduate and MBA students. Most recently, she taught litigation for paralegals as an adjunct professor at Sussex County Community College.
A graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law, where she finished in the top 16 percent of her class and served as Spring Director of the Moot Court Board, Carley earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Pennsylvania State University. During her legal career, she has handled hundreds of litigation matters from inception through trial, argued successfully before the New Jersey Appellate Division, and helped shape state case law.
Beyond her legal work, Carley has been deeply engaged in civic and professional organizations. She is a past State President of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners, a Master in the Worrell F. Mountain Inn of Court, and a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Sussex County Bar Association. She has also served as a trustee for several nonprofit organizations and frequently volunteers as a judge for mock trial competitions and legal education programs.
Carley is also active in veterans and community organizations, including the American Legion Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She is a member of Principles First NJ and the Society for the Rule of Law, organizations dedicated to preserving democratic norms and constitutional governance.
As New Jersey State Chair, Carley will help lead ORL’s efforts to engage Republican voters, promote civic participation, and advocate for constitutional principles and responsible leadership within the party.
Carley lives in Sparta, New Jersey, with her husband, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and their Dalmatian, Peaches.
In her new role, Carley will help advance ORL’s mission, built around five core principles:
Unity
The Constitution
Fiscal Responsibility
Free Enterprise
Peace through Strength
