Upper Marlboro, Md. — Our Republican Legacy (ORL), a national network of center-right leaders committed to advancing principled, solutions-oriented conservatism, today announced the appointment of Justin A. Bingham as Chairman of its Maryland chapter.
In his new role, Bingham will help advance ORL’s mission, built around five core principles: unity, the Constitution, fiscal responsibility, free enterprise, and peace through strength. He will lead efforts to engage civic-minded conservatives across Maryland, strengthen public discourse, and build a new generation of leaders focused on responsible governance and institutional integrity.
“Justin represents exactly the kind of leadership we need at this moment,” said Senator Jack Danforth, founder of Our Republican Legacy. “He brings a deep commitment to service, a serious understanding of national security, and a clear sense of responsibility to the country. Our Republican Legacy is about restoring integrity and purpose to public life, and Justin embodies those values.”
Bingham is a Maryland-based national security professional, Army veteran, and strategic consultant. He currently advises Department of Defense stakeholders on strategic planning and communications. Prior to that, he held leadership roles working at the intersection of defense innovation and emerging technologies.
He previously served nearly a decade as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army, holding command roles in airborne and ceremonial units, and supporting security missions in the Korean Demilitarized Zone. His military service included leading soldiers in high-visibility national missions across the National Capital Region and planning joint operations in complex international environments.
A graduate of Georgetown University’s Security Studies program and Hampton University, Bingham has also completed leadership programs focused on civic engagement and public service, reflecting his continued commitment to bridging military experience with public leadership.
“Maryland has always been a place where serious, pragmatic leadership matters,” said Michael Steele, former Chairman of the Republican National Committee and a founding member of ORL. “Justin brings a powerful combination of service, discipline, and forward-looking perspective. At a time when the party is at an inflection point, leaders like Justin are essential to shaping what comes next.”
Our Republican Legacy was founded in 2024 by former Republican Senators John Danforth, William Cohen, and the late Alan Simpson, along with 34 other distinguished former Republican Members of Congress and elected officials. The organization promotes five enduring principles: unity, the Constitution, fiscal responsibility, free enterprise, and peace through strength.
ORL continues to expand its national footprint, with chapters in 30 states working to promote civil discourse, strengthen democratic institutions, and advance a renewed vision for the Republican Party.
