WASHINGTON, D.C. — Our Republican Legacy (ORL), a national initiative to restore core conservative principles and responsible governance to the Republican Party, is proud to announce that Rina Shah has joined the organization as a Senior Advisor.

A respected geopolitical risk advisor, political commentator, and award-winning social entrepreneur, Shah brings nearly two decades of experience navigating the highest levels of American politics and public policy. She has served as a senior aide to two Republican U.S. House members, a top consultant to two presidential campaigns, and an advisor to elected officials, diplomats, and corporate leaders across the globe.

"Rina Shah is a principled conservative whose acumen, experience, and independence will be tremendous assets to Our Republican Legacy," said former U.S. Senator John Danforth, ORL’s founder. "She represents the kind of thoughtful leadership our party needs. We are delighted Rina is part of our effort."

A native of West Virginia and daughter of immigrants from Uganda and India, Shah is the Founder of Vental Strategic Advisory Group. She currently serves as a Senior Fellow for Inclusive Governance at the Rainey Center and sits on the Boards of the Women’s Congressional Staff Foundation, Renew Democracy Initiative, and VoteRunLead. She is also a former Co-Founder and Board Member Emeritus of Women’s Public Leadership Network.

“I’m honored to join Our Republican Legacy at a time when so many Americans—especially women, immigrants, and young conservatives—are searching for a political home grounded in principle, not personality," said Shah. "ORL is reclaiming what it means to be a Republican: serious about governing, rooted in the Constitution, and committed to building a stronger, more inclusive future. My parents were students when they chose America as their forever home because of its freedom and opportunity. I’m proud to help carry that legacy forward.”

Shah rose to national prominence in 2016 when she led the #NeverTrump movement as the first RNC Delegate to publicly oppose Donald Trump’s nomination—an act that triggered her removal from the RNC, later reversed following a legal battle. In 2020, she founded Republican Women for Biden.

Named by Business Insider as one of “20 political strategists to watch ahead of 2022 and 2024,” Shah is represented by United Talent Agency and is a frequent contributor to BBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, and Al Jazeera through which she continues to advocate for a GOP grounded in constitutional principles, fiscal responsibility, and inclusive leadership.

She joins ORL’s growing team of former lawmakers, civic leaders, and policy experts committed to a future-focused, solutions-oriented Republican Party.
